Thank you Kim for your help in coming to our house at short notice when our dog’s condition deteriorated quicker than expected.
It was important to us that our much loved Staffie would not feel any fear or trauma, which she would have done if we had had to take her to a vet’s practice. The thought of her being scared and stressed at the end of her life was a major concern for us.
Instead she passed away peacefully and with dignity in her own home, in her bed with her loved ones at her side.
Thank you for a professional service which was also kind and reassuring. We never felt rushed, everything was explained and it took an enormous weight off our minds knowing that you were on call when we needed you.

On 12th July 2022 we made the heart breaking decision to let our 16 year old old labrador Pippy grow her wings and go to the Rainbow Bridge to join her sister who we lost almost a year ago to this day. We had contacted Kym from Paws at Peace and arranged for her to come out and let Pippy have a lovely peaceful end to her fantastic life. This allowed her to be comfortable in her bed, familiar with her surroundings and comforted by her human parents. On one hand it was heart breaking , but on the other it was so comforting to know she passed over as peacefully as could be and we had the time to give her kisses,cuddles and goodbyes for Pippy to remember as she slipped away.
Having had to do this with our other 15 year old labrador a year earlier at a vets where I was not allowed to hold or comfort her and only watch my scared old girl from behind a screen. By the time I had processed what was happening it was over and I had a very limited time to say my goodbyes, this was obviously devastating and that guilt will be with me forever for allowing that to happen.
I cannot therefore thank Kym enough for the service she provides, her understanding and compassion and I will be eternally grateful to her for allowing Pippy to have had a lovely dignified ending surrounded by the people she loved.

Unfortunately I had to use this company when our Beloved Cindy lost the use of her back legs, The service provided was amazing, I called on the morning and Kim arrived just after lunchtime, Cindy was a nervous dog and Kim allowed us to calm her before giving her a tranquilizer to settle her. Cindy drifted off peacefully with just myself and my wife present, this is so much better than having to drag your best friend to the vets for a very impersonal end.

Can't thank Kim enough. She altered her busy schedule to come to us within 30 minutes of our phone call. She spent plenty of time making sure our beautiful Eva was free of pain before we said goodbye. Also many thanks to Roxy's Rainbow of Hartlepool for recommending Kim.

We said goodbye to our old boy, Moose the cat yesterday with the help of Kim. We will all miss him dearly but we are taking great comfort from how peaceful and dignified his passing was. Kim is so kind and gentle, she sat stroking him while she calmly explained to us what would happen and what to expect and then as the procedure took place we were able to stroke him and take our time to say goodbye. If there is such a thing as a good death then he had it, some treats in his belly, on his favourite blanket with lots of kisses from us all, he slipped away gently. It's clear that Kim really cares and to be able to take this final act of kindness at home is priceless

I used Paws at Peace because my Dog Cola was at the end of her life, but could not travel in a car.
