Kiko (2004 - 2021)
The story of us revolves all around our very beloved Chocolate Labrador "Kiko". She was the typical Labrador - she loved water, walks, company and most of all FOOD!
A few days before Christmas 2021, our family had to say goodbye to her at the grand age of 17 years old. Despite being a vet myself, I really struggled with the idea to bring her to a veterinary practice for her final moments. I wanted her to be in her own home, on her own bed, surrounded by our family. With the assistance of a trusted vet and friend, we managed to arrange this, as I could not face having to euthanise her myself.
Kiko received the peaceful ending as we wished for her and passed very peacefully. The final moments I would wish for any pet. This experience is what planted the seed for what is now "Paws at Peace".
I am grateful for the trust I have received from all the people who have used our services up to now and priviliged to have been entrusted with such an emotional moment in their pet's and personal journey. Every single appointment has been special in their own way and memories of each will be carried with me forever.
